Product History

The Ig2000 was conceptualized in 1973 by Dr. Doyle S. Brown. The first working prototype was successfully developed and tested in 1978. The initial laser diodes were provided by and purchased from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Field research began in 1978. The product went commercial in the veterinary market in 1999. In 2003, the human pilot "Proof of Concept" study was initiated and successfully concluded the same year. The FDA Approval/Clearance to market is in process.
